Musical for children: Albanian Folk Games

April 28, Liceu Artistik, Tirana

Traditional Albanian games on stage, Children's musical unveils the artistic creations of "Heritage is Our brand"

The musical with songs and games for children by Endrit Muçaj will unveil on Tuesday, April 28, a series of artistic projects benefiting from grants from "Heritage is Our Brand", which are funded by the European Union and implemented by DMO Albania and the EU Policy Hub.

The show includes 12 traditional Albanian games and 12 original
musical compositions by composer Endri Muçaj, brought to the public for the first time. On stage, children perform well-known games such as "Dembeli", "Karamele Zana", "Loja me Peta", "Loja me Litar", "Lule Dele", "Shi shi Babashi" "Roza-rozina", "Hapa dollapa", "Kala dibrançe", and others, restoring the spirit of tradition in a contemporary artistic form
This activity aims to bring the younger generations closer to Albanian folk culture, introducing them to the games that children once played in yards, meadows or alleys of villages and cities. Albanian folk games are an extraordinary testament to a rich and creative culture, which has accompanied entire generations in Albania throughout time.

In the absence of modern toys and advanced technology, Albanian children and young people invented games that they played in open spaces such as home yards, green meadows or alleys of villages and small towns. The musical will be performed on April 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the Jordan Misja
Artistic High School, in Tirana. We invite parents and children to become part of this unique cultural experience.
