Exhibition-Parade Featuring Characters from Mythology and Antiquity
Abstract
The idea of the project is based on four inspiring stories carefully selected from the Albania Heritage Platform:: the Myth of Cadmus in Illyria, , the Dance of the Nymphs in the Eternal Flames of the Nymphaeum of Apollonia, , the Bond of Seferan and the Oaths of the “Beauties of the Earth,”and also Teuta, the Queen of the Seas..
Initially, children will be introduced to these references and will draw or replicate motifs related to the subject matter, historical period, and corresponding ethnographic context. In subsequent phases, based on their ideas, they will create and decorate an accessory or garment using painting, embroidery, or other creative techniques, adapted to their age and individual abilities.
It brings together arts education, intangible cultural heritage, and contemporary creativity, aiming to encourage the active participation of children and young people in the process of learning, experiencing, and artistically interpreting Albanian mythology and antiquity.
